Chief Financial Officer

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of OEC is a strategic executive who plays a pivotal role in shaping the financial direction of the company, as well as overseeing IT and HR functions. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO is responsible for financial, IT, and HR management, driving financial planning and analysis, optimizing the company's financial performance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Strategy and Planning

Develop and implement the company's overall financial strategy in alignment with the business objectives and long-term goals.

Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to set financial targets and allocate resources effectively.

Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and growth initiatives.

Financial Reporting and Analysis

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for performance improvement.

Provide regular reports to the CEO, Board of Directors, and other stakeholders on the financial health of the company.

Treasury and Cash Management

Manage the company's cash flow and liquidity, optimizing working capital and ensuring adequate funds are available for operational needs.

Oversee banking relationships, investment strategies, and debt financing activities.

Monitor and manage foreign exchange risks, interest rates, and other financial exposures.

Risk Management and Compliance

Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and laws.

Coordinate with external auditors to conduct annual financial audits and reviews.

Assess and mitigate financial risks through effective risk management strategies.

IT Management

Oversee the company's IT infrastructure, systems, and technology initiatives.

Collaborate with IT teams to ensure data security, system reliability, and effective utilization of technology to drive business objectives.

Ensure the alignment of IT strategies with overall business goals.

HR Management

Provide strategic direction for the HR function, including talent acquisition, performance management, employee development, and compensation and benefits.

Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations and foster a positive work environment that supports employee well-being and engagement.

Collaborate with HR teams to align HR strategies with the company's strategic objectives.

Strategic Partnerships and Investor Relations

Collaborate with the CEO, Board, and other executives in strategic planning and decision-making.

Interact with external stakeholders, including investors, lenders, and analysts, to communicate financial performance and growth plans.

Mergers and Acquisitions (if applicable)

Provide financial due diligence and analysis for potential mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures.

Lead integration efforts to ensure seamless financial transition during mergers and acquisitions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (Master's degree or CPA required).

· Proven experience as a CFO or in senior finance leadership roles.

· Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

· In-depth understanding of financial regulations, compliance, and internal controls.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Effective leadership and team management abilities.

· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

· Strategic thinker with the ability to drive financial innovation.

· Experience in private company financial management is preferred.
