Construction Manager

Ameresco Canada is looking to fill the role of construction manager to work with our team during the contract execution and construction stage of large scale, utility grade, renewable energy infrastructure projects. Ameresco assumes the role of constructor and uses a multiple-subcontractor and supplier approach to build out our projects.
Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate and manage all aspects of the construction of the project from pre-permitting stage to commercial operation;
Oversee the development of a detailed project schedule and construction methodology;
Work with the project manager/director to develop a resource plan and assist in the procurement process for subcontractors, on-site support personnel, suppliers, etc.;
Create and review Requests for Information, Requests for Proposal, Change Notices;
Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with the contract documents, approved manuals and procedures, and good engineering practices;
Develop and create contingency plans as required to safeguard the execution of the project in a timely manner;
Provide technical support to the project manager/director and technical design team;
Develop and maintain project cost/change controls, and project budget and accounting records;
Work closely with the Project Finance, Operations, and O&M Services teams to satisfy all requirements for commercial operation and financial close;
Coordinate and monitor schedule updates, invoices, and submittals;
Assist in managing and reviewing the progress of subcontractors’ construction schedules;
Oversee and minute construction progress meetings;
Review weekly and monthly reports on the status and progress of the contracts, including project costs and potential changes;
Report the status of projects to business and project stakeholders;
Attend client program meetings as needed;
Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, and codes;
Foster positive and effective business relationships at all levels and project phases; and
Perform Other Duties As Required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of managing utility grade electrical infrastructure projects and/or renewable energy projects (BESS, PV)
Engineer Procure Construct (EPC) industry experience
Additional Qualifications:
Proven experience with Ontario safety standards, and project management regulations, practices, and codes;
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and foster positive business relationships;
Strong verbal, written, computer, technical communication and presentation skills;
Proficient with MS Office Suite of Tools including MS Word, Excel, Project
