What You'll Do

As a Site Supervisor with Finnway, you'll play a crucial role in overseeing our construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:


  • Assisting in project start-up and planning, ensuring a seamless transition from concept to construction.
  • Directing and monitoring the progress of construction activities, managing both the workforce and resources to meet project milestones.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to safety standards and building regulations, conducting regular site inspections and safety briefings.
  • Fostering effective communication and collaboration among project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders, ensuring project objectives are clearly understood and met.
  • Addressing and resolving any issues that arise, maintaining a solutions-focused approach to keep the project on track.


Who You Are

You are an experienced construction professional with a proven track record of successfully supervising commercial and institutional construction projects. You possess:


  • A post-secondary degree in construction, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 10 years of field experience in a supervisory role, with extensive knowledge of construction processes, project management, and safety regulations.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, capable of motivating teams and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • The ability to travel within the Northwestern region of Ontario to oversee various project sites.
  • A commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and quality on every project.


Minimum Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of supervisory experience in construction.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software.


Bonus Requirements

  • Certifications in project management or safety.
  • Experience with lean construction practices and sustainable building methods.
  • Involvement in local community or construction industry organizations.
