We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Controller to join our team.


The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company’s growth and objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial reporting, and team leadership.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounting Oversight: Manage project financing, coordinating directly with the Chairman the accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions. Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Management: Oversee all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements and reports.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Provide actionable insights to senior management to support decision-making.
  • Audit Coordination: Coordinate and manage the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring timely completion of audits.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow and liquidity to ensure the company’s financial health. Develop strategies to optimize cash management.
  • Policy Development: Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance internal controls and operational efficiency.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term financial strategies and business plans.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, including tax filings and reporting requirements.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience in the accounting and finance in the construction industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS - financial reporting, and accounting principles.
  • Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.


Other Experience:

  • CPA certification preferred.


Salary:

  • $100,000+ per year based on experience and suitability
