Job Description


We are looking for Environmental Scientists, Engineers, or Contaminant Hydrogeologists to join our dynamic and experienced team of environmental specialists.


As a member of our Land and Water team, you’ll take on project management responsibilities for a variety of programs related to the assessment, monitoring, management, and remediation of contaminated sites. You’ll be responsible for the delivery of high-quality work to several of our key clients in the oil and gas sector. You will apply your knowledge and experience in environmental site assessment and remedial techniques to provide solutions to your clients, build long term relationships, and support the growth of our portfolio of work.


Key Responsibilities


You will also:


  • Help develop and oversee the collection of information by junior scientists and hydrogeologists
  • Analyze and interpret environmental data and prepare contaminated site reports for submission to clients and regulators
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to integrate findings and interpretations with various scientific, planning, and engineering disciplines
  • Help manage projects and ensure successful project delivery with respect to health & safety, scope, schedule, budget, QA/QC, and client satisfaction
  • Prepare proposals and contribute to the development and execution of service line, business sector, and client business development plans
  • Liaise and build relationships with clients and ensure excellent service delivery
  • Mentor junior staff and participate in internal and external training/mentorship opportunities

Qualifications


  • 8+ years of experience in a similar consulting role in the environmental services industry
  • Broad knowledge of environmental site assessment and/or risk assessment and/or hydrogeology and/or site remediation
  • Experience coordinating or running programs in the downstream oil and gas industry is critical
  • Working knowledge of provincial, local, and industry specific regulations and guidelines
  • Undergraduate or Master’s degree in engineering or geosciences preferred
  • Professional status or eligibility for professional status with a professional organization (P.Eng., P.Geo., P.Ag., E.I.T., G.I.T., A.Sc.T preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license and regular access to a reliable vehicle required for travel to job sites/clients
