The Field Supervisor is a member of the Dewatering Team who supervises dewatering system setups to ensure that actual installations emulate design requirements. The individual in this position will supervise labor force during setup operations to ensure production efficiencies, costs are minimized and safety compliance as they relate to completed documentation requirements for all monitoring, cost and safety aspects of installations. Health and Safety is a major responsibility of this position.


Job Responsibilities

  • Assign daily workloads to the Forman and Site Laborer's and supervise their efforts on the assigned job.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and transport companies regarding delivery and pickup of equipment and supplies.
  • Establish deadlines and modify the work schedule to meet deadlines.
  • Plan jobs and requirements with foresight to minimize job costs and stresses to the in-house supply network.
  • Maintain T&M Sheets and get proper sign-off from customer.
  • Request and get approval for all PO numbers for all purchases.
  • Up-keep of all necessary training and certifications of field labor in order to perform job responsibilities.
  • Maintain open communications with customers for after-hours emergency responses and in accordance with Aquatech’s Emergency Preparedness and Response Plans.
  • Some evenings, weekends (on-call) and travel within Ontario is a component of this position.
  • Organize and maintain the company vehicle including all regular maintenance and overall appearance of the vehicle.
  • Comprehensive training in construction industry health and safety – upkeep of certification for same.
  • Must be able to manage multiple job sites at a time.

Qualifications and Required Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in related discipline, CET or related experience an asset.
  • 3 to 5 years experience in construction supervision, preference given to experience in setting up dewatering/pumping systems.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team setting.
  • Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, customer service, negotiating, organizational, computer and time management skills.
  • Uninhibited ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, push, pull, reach and grasp.
  • Physically capable of handling exposure to outdoor weather, shop and job site conditions.
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s License and clean driver’s abstract.

Job Type: Full-time


Salary: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

  • Maple, ON L6A 4P5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
