Multi-Family Site Superintendent

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
  • Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew
  • Allocate general and daily responsibilities
  • Supervise and train workers and tradespeople
  • Ensure manpower and resources are adequate
  • Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met
  • Supervise the use of machinery and equipment
  • Monitor expenditure and ensure it remains within budget
  • Resolve problems when they arise
  • Report on progress to managers, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in budgeting, bidding, and awarding of subcontracts as required
  • Assist in obtaining permits or approval of revisions.
  • Gather project material submittals and maintain records of approvals at the job site.
  • Identify areas of work that are outside of the subcontracted scope.
  • Preside over pre-construction meetings with each subcontractor.
  • Opening the job site at the beginning of the day and securing the job site at the end of the day.
  • Assist in hiring sub-tier employees.


Requirements

  • Proven construction management experience, focusing on multi-family wood frame builds.
  • Proficient in scheduling, overseeing, and inspecting multi-family projects to ensure timely completion.
  • Demonstrated ability to make proactive decisions, solve problems, and implement multi-family wood frame construction cost-saving measures.
  • Skilled in managing change order costs effectively within projects.
  • Consistently ensures the oversight and implementation of rigorous safety protocols tailored to multi-family wood frame builds.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSH guidelines
  • Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to communicate and report effectively
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage sub-trades and internal site staff
