Our Ideal Candidate

The Operations Leader is accountable for our People, Profitability and Client objectives in our Vancouver operation. The Operations Leader has considerable autonomy to grow the operation but it is also expected that collaboration will take place with our Business Development Team, Leadership Team and other Operations Leaders in the best interest of the organization. As a proven leader with strong business acumen, the Operations Leader is accountable for acting as an ambassador for Allnorth in the communities and sectors in which we work. A generous relocation package will be offered as required.


This position is responsible for leading the Vancouver office which will include:

  • Continue building client and community relationships in and around the operation
  • Lead by example. Coaching the team in a fashion that emphasizes our safe work culture;
  • Oversee all aspects of the operation's fiscal metrics and working with the staff to ensure the best in class project delivery/client satisfaction;
  • Provide leadership and general direction to the project team as well as the office;
  • Establish resourcing priorities and facilitate communication between various leadership groups;
  • Continue our tradition of team building by attracting the best people in the industry that align with our corporate culture.

What You'll Bring to the Team

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Registered or eligible to register, as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in British Columbia is preferred. Eligible for registration in other provinces would be an asset.
  • Minimum 10 years of project management experience, preferably in a consulting engineering environment;
  • Solid technical/commercial analysis of project management and effective customer focus;
  • Completion of a certification in project management (e.g. PMP) is an asset;
  • Proven leadership skills within a multidisciplinary engineering consulting environment;
  • Business acumen including financial accountability, setting and ensuring margin targets, management of WIP necessary;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills;
  • Must have a valid Canadian driver's license as regulated by the province the applicant resides in.
