PROJECT COORDINATOR - REGINA & SASKATOON

Westridge is seeking a Project Coordinator for our Regina office and another for our Saskatoon office, who will assist with the management of architectural and civil construction projects. The chosen candidate will have the ability to maintain and enhance a positive work environment that respects, develops, and motivates employees at every level.


Responsibilities

Assist the Project Manager and Site Superintendent with the following tasks:

  • Meeting minutes
  • RFI - Request for Information
  • Estimating
  • Project planning and scheduling
  • Review the project drawings and specifications and address possible cost savings and potential construction problems
  • Ensure project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within the boundaries of corporate policy are being met
  • Subcontractor tender reviews and awards
  • Shop drawing review and coordination
  • Project coordination
  • Maintain safety standards
  • Conduct site tours including safety inspections
  • Consultant/owner liaison
  • Contract administration including the change management process
  • Manage financial aspects of contracts
  • Quality Assurance/Quality Control
  • Monthly progress invoicing
  • Project closeout
  • Project estimating when time permits

Qualifications

  • Civil or structural engineering degree, civil engineering or architectural technology diploma OR minimum 5 years experience in a trade-based field position
  • Project coordination or experience on commercial/civil projects would be considered an asset
  • Good communication, problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Thorough understanding of all facets of construction
