Project Manager of Geohazard Mitigation

Vancouver, BC

Requirements:

  • Experience in Geohazard Mitigation an asset
  • Five year minimum Construction Project Management experience required
  • Extensive travel required
  • Engineering degree, project management certificate, or related certifications an asset

Preliminary Planning/Management

  • Review bid package
  • Monitoring and reporting project progress
  • Developing a budget
  • Risk analysis and managing risks and Issues
  • Schedule and run pre job & kick off meetings
  • Ensure availability and identify, equipment
  • Planning and defining scope
  • Activity planning and sequencing
  • Resource planning

Procurement

  • Lead subcontractor prequalification
  • Compare supply RFQ to budget
  • Working with Operations Managers, identify material supply requirements, obtain PO’s from vendors
  • Ensure subcontractors and materials are delivered

Project Safety

  • Work closely with owner & project safety representative
  • Work with OHS manager to ensure safety of staff and clients
  • Ensure timely safety and Incident reporting

Project QA/QC

  • Key QA/QC points identified
  • Job QA/ QC procedure development & implementation
  • Inspect/monitor work completed and processes

Project Budgeting

  • Determine project phases
  • Set up budget and budget change process
  • Project forecasting
  • Compare and monitor cost of project against estimates/contract

Job site management

  • Manage site supervisor and ensure duties are completed
  • Track all production rates against the budget
  • Facilitate communication and information transfer from job site to head office
  • Ensure accurate reporting is completed across job site

  • 100% safety on projects, no injuries or accidents
  • 100% client satisfaction
  • Project cash flow, payment received within contracted terms
  • Project gross margin


Job Type: Full-time


Salary: $100,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
