Project Manager - Renewable Energy

WSP Canada is currently looking to add a Project Manager to its Renewable Energy Project Management Team, within the greater Power Canada team. Power Canada, a team of 300+ passionate and talented members located across Canada, is committed to helping its clients meet the rising demand for reliable power and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. As a Project Manager within the Renewable Energy team, you will work in close collaboration with the Renewable Energy Design teams and Market leaders to lead and manage projects and business opportunities with various clients.


Under the supervision of the Renewable Energy Project Management Lead, the ideal candidate for this position is bilingual and will be based in one of the following WSP office locations: Calgary or Quebec City, Montreal, Markham,

Responsibilities


  • Successfully Manage wind, solar, battery energy storage, and other renewable energy projects across the project lifecycle;
  • Seek, develop, and maintain relationships with clients;
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques;
  • Use and continually develop leadership skills;
  • Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency;
  • Occasionally travel within Canada for client meetings, site assessments, and site support;


Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or another relevant field;
  • 3-5 years of experience in the renewable energy industry;
  • Excellent communication both orally and in writing;
  • Ability to organize effectively and prioritize work;
  • Ability to meet deadlines, deliver, and manage multiple tasks;
  • Sense of initiative, attention to detail;
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills.

En tant que gestionnaire de projet au sein de l’équipe d’énergie renouvelable, vous travaillerez en étroite collaboration avec les équipes de conception des énergies renouvelables et nos chefs de marché pour diriger et gérer des projets et des opportunités d’affaires avec nos divers clients.


Sous la supervision du chef de discipline en gestion de projet, le candidat sélectionné pour ce poste sera idéalement basé dans l’un des bureaux suivants de WSP : Montréal, Markham, Calgary ou ville de Québec.

Responsabilités


  • Gérer des projets éoliens, solaires, de stockage d’énergie et d’autres projets d’énergie renouvelable;
  • Rechercher, développer et entretenir des relations avec les clients;
  • Évaluer le rendement du projet à l’aide d’outils et de techniques appropriés;
  • Utiliser et développer de façon continue des compétences en leadership;
  • Assister à des conférences et formations afin de maintenir et développer de nouvelles compétences;
  • Voyager occasionnellement pour des réunions de projets, des évaluations de sites, formations et autre.


Qualifications


  • Baccalauréat en génie ou autre domaine pertinent;
  • 3 à 5 ans d’expérience dans le marché des énergies renouvelables;
  • Excellente communication orale et écrite;
  • Capacité d’organiser efficacement et de prioriser le travail;
  • Capacité de respecter les délais, d’exécuter et de gérer plusieurs tâches;
  • Sens de l’initiative et attention aux détails;
  • Approche proactive pour la résolution de problèmes avec de bonnes capacités décisionnelles.
