  • Areva's Founders:Rod Senft: Former Partner at South Street Developments with several multifamily projects in Richmond until the early '90s. He then led the Real Estate practice at Davis & Company, a leading Vancouver law firm, until 1993. In 1996, Rod co-founded Tricor Pacific Capital, a private equity firm investing institutional funds in mid-market companies across North America. As Managing Partner, he oversaw institutional investments with a total committed capital of $1.2 billion. Today, Tricor Pacific Capital stands as one of Canada's leading Family Offices, owning a diverse portfolio of companies across various sectors.
  • Adel Bellemlih: brings 25 years of experience in construction and development of major projects, ranging from $10 million to $400 million. Prior to co-founding Areva Living, he held a director-level position for 18 years with one of the world's largest construction and development companies, overseeing the development of over 1.5 million sf in Canada from 2009 to 2014.
  • Hamid Ahmadian: Hamid is a Chartered Professional Accountant with a background in civil engineering and an MBA. Before co-founding Areva Living, he has been active as an investor and real estate since 2010. He has 11 years of experience in the BC development and construction industry, with expertise in administrative functions and procurement oversight.

Position OverviewAreva Living is seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Construction Project Manager (SCPM) to join our executive team. The SCPM will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's strategy, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

  • Maintain (or cause to maintain) well-organized records of all relevant project information
  • Identify inefficiencies in the organization and suggest processes to address them


  • Reporting,Review and approve construction related invoices.
  • Contribute to the preparation of QS draw requests (Review draft QS Report, professional reports, budget adjustments, invoices and COs, etc.)
  • Monitor weekly budgets and schedule.
  • Present weekly on a fixed day a concise update on status of budget and schedule with a “forward view” based on knowledge of ongoing procurement and site progress (unlike contractor’s reporting, which is usually a “backward view”).
  • Propose reporting format ( Weekly, Monthly or at key milestones: 25%, 50%, 75%) in the form of a dashboard.
  • Contribute actively to value engineering, problem solving on budget and schedule issues. Be acutely aware of the financial cost of time.


  • Design ManagementBe constantly aware of ongoing design issues and ensure they are properly allocated to a team member ( Design Manager/Contractor/Trade/Consultant).
  • Be aware of design issues that could interfere with critical path of construction and raise alarm when necessary.
  • Bring construction experience and expertise to proactively help address design issues.


  • Risk, Quality , Contract ManagementLeadership on contract management ( GC and trades): analyse validity of claims, change order requests and any other contractual issues that arise. Suggest negotiation strategies and conduct negotiations when appropriate.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges impacting the project’s success, early in the project timeline.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize the impact of unforeseen issues.
  • Swiftly address and resolve project-related problems, minimizing disruptions to the construction process.
  • Perform regular site visits and be acquainted with site staff and be able to identify “site mood” as well as perform cursory quality reviews and assist in implementing a cost-efficient construction quality management process that maximizes the use of existing resources and supplements them with third-party resources for audits and compliance reviews when necessary. The objective is to mitigate risks related to safety, end-user satisfaction (tenants, buyers), legal issues (strata/buyers), and regulatory compliance (Code - Municipality) .

  • Requirements:10+years of construction and construction-related experience, including several years of site experience
  • Proven leadership experience.
  • Experience within a real estate development environment is highly desirable
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
