Senior Cost Estimator
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role based in Saskatoon, SK, with the flexibility for some remote work. As a lead estimator, you will set Engcomp's estimating standards and procedures for all projects. You will create and refine our cost estimating tools and choose our resources. You will also be essential in building, mentoring, and leading our cost estimating team.engagement, scheduling, and/or cost control.
Responsibilities
- Lead estimates from MTO creation to vendor quotes to final estimate presentations while working on a variety of industrial projects; from greenfield to brownfield, within a range of CAPEX and estimate levels.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, clients and contractors.
- Consult with other industry experts to discuss cost estimates.
- Use computer software to create and analyze cost estimates
- Managing project progress and adapt work as required
- Ensuring projects meet deadlines
- Managing relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Overseeing all incoming and outgoing project documentation
Qualifications
This position requires demonstrated strength of leadership and proven time management capabilities. Your knowledge of the mining sector and your technical expertise will round out your qualifications for this position.
Key Knowledge & Experience
8+ years of cost estimating experience are required for this position. Previous management and leadership experience would also be an asset. Heavy industrial exposure is desirable, especially mining and/or potash mining.
Specialized experience in the following software would also be considered an asset: Excel, Microsoft Project, Primavera. Other programming expertise would be very beneficial.
Salary Range
$90,000 - $140,000
