Senior Procurement Professional

Remote (British Columbia, Canada) North Vancouver, BC

LOCATION: Remote or Hybrid in North Vancouver office

LEVEL: Senior

SALARY: $103.5K-$126K

We are looking for a Procurement Professional who can lead procurement processes in the public sector, and most importantly algins with our team core values (Safety, Wellbeing, Respect, Quality, Collaborate, Growth Mindset). This position is based remotely or from our North Vancouver office and is responsible for leading procurement for power utility projects.

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead medium to high complexity procurement processes to ensure projects are delivered safely, with quality, and within budget and schedule
  • Support projects by developing project sourcing strategies, following established processes and using an understanding of public sector procurement law
  • Develop contracting plans and sound marketing documents for projects
  • Facilitate the bid, evaluation, and negotiation processes for the public bidding process
  • Perform contract management activities to ensure parties are meeting contractual obligations
  • Monitor and report on contract performance; identify issues and action to resolve working with the project team
  • Manage correspondence with suppliers on contractual documentation and file as required
  • Act as subject matter expert to provide guidance and advice to project teams in the sourcing, procurement, and management of goods and services contracts

 

Who we are looking for:

  • Minimum of 10 years in sourcing or contract management or equivalent, preferably in a public sector environment
  • Experience in infrastructure capital project sourcing and power utility projects, would be an asset
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related or technical field, such as Supply Chain, Business, Law, Economics, Finance, Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent
  • Certificate or additional education or professional designation in Supply Chain Management, would be an asset
  • Certificate or additional education in Project Management, would be an asset
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Advanced English skills for professional environment, written and spoken
