Senior Project Manager

We are a fast-growing engineering firm specializing in providing electrical engineering solutions to clients across various industries. We are looking for a talented Senior Project Manager to join our team and lead the delivery of projects from inception to completion.


The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing the delivery of electrical-based projects for our clients. This position will work closely with the project team to ensure that all project objectives are met within budget, schedule, and quality requirements. The Senior Project Manager will also be responsible for managing project risks, ensuring project safety, and maintaining a positive relationship with our clients.

The individual within this role will be able to work effectively as a team leader and adapt to various situations quickly while maintaining the highest level of professionalism. This individual will also possess strong troubleshooting abilities and be able to formulate comprehensive strategies for resolving project challenges presented.

Areas of Accountability

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Manage the full project lifecycle from initiation to closeout.
  • Manage multiple electrical projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standard.
  • Create and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Lead project planning, design, and execution activities.
  • Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality and safety standards.
  • Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders.
  • Ensure that project documentation is completed and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor and report project progress, identifying and resolving issues and risks as they arise.
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and project reports.

Qualification Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering or a Diploma in Technology in a related field or equivalent relative experience. P.Eng or PMP is an asset.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, electrical preferred.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office suite of tools.
  • An asset to have working knowledge of Electrical Utilities, Energy Services, Energy Storage, Power Generation or Renewables.
  • An asset to have previous work experience with substation design.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices, design and construction processes.
  • An asset to have worked on projects in the USA and be familiar with the NEC.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong command of the English language (both written and verbal).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
