You as the Senior Quality Manager will:

Provide overall quality management from preconstruction to project completion; ensure project quality objectives and requirements are communicated and understood by all relevant team members including consultants and trade partners.
Oversee the development of project-specific and Subcontractor quality plans for design and construction; ensure all quality plans address project requirements, are consistent with EllisDon’s quality program and best practices, and roles and responsibilities have been clearly defined.
Proactively identify project risks and opportunities. Help develop and implement appropriate risk mitigation strategies including QA/QC measures and coordination with relevant technical resources/departments.
Manage, review and coordinate the development of Inspection and Testing Plans (ITPs) for construction activities. Ensure ITPs are developed and implemented effectively for all applicable scopes of work.
Monitor execution of design and construction activities to assess compliance with respect to the quality program, project-specific quality plans, and project requirements.
Perform Project Quality Audits and Subcontractor Quality Audits and ensure appropriate audit action plans are developed and implemented.
Work with project teams and Area leadership to develop a comprehensive understanding of quality requirements.
Providing quality assurance resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.

Is this the right role for you?

Minimum 10 years of experience in the construction industry with a strong understanding of quality management systems and practices.
Minimum of five years of experience overseeing the design and construction of transit.
Experience in managing a team of quality professionals.
ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certified
Professional Engineer, Engineering or other construction-related degree is an asset.
Experience developing and implementing quality-plans on large/complex projects.
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and relevant codes and standards related to construction (ex. CSA A23.1).
Ability to plan and organize work in a manner that is clear, concise, and punctual.
