Due to the demands of upcoming projects, we are searching for an experienced Site Superintendent for a 4-5 month contract, who can provide on-site coordination for all phases of an office Tenant Improvement (TI) project. This is a fast-paced, highly collaborative team with a focus on ensuring client satisfaction while living Aura’s values of Care, Humility, Creativity, Passion and Fun!
About You
- 5-10 years of previous Commercial Construction Site Superintendent experience
- Experience with Tenant Improvement (TI) projects a strong asset
- High school diploma
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Collaborative and professional work ethic
- Valid driver’s license and transportation
- Site Safety Officer (CSO) Certification preferred
- OFA Level 1 required, OFA Level 2 preferred
Responsibilities
- Oversee all construction activity and ensure compliance with safety standards, established design intent, budget and scheduling guidelines
- Oversee all personnel at site level
- Create, maintain, and hold trades/vendors accountable to construction schedule
- Coordinate procurement of equipment and materials deliveries
- Perform project quality control duties, proactively address and minimize deficiencies
- Communicate and direct subcontractors in the planning and execution of work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays
- Ensure subcontractors are fully executing and complying with their contracted scope of work
- Resolves complaints and grievances that may arise within the workforce at the jobsite.
- Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions
- Identify and address subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards
- Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution
- Write and maintain daily log of activities of the jobsite, as well as communicate these as well as progress to the project management team
- Ensure subcontractors rectify all deficiencies in a timely fashion
- Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean, organized, and adhering to job safety standards
