The Role:


The Site Supervisor will oversee and coordinate the daily activities of site activity, by managing and coordinating construction workers and trades, maintaining productivity and safety of projects.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating the low-rise project from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget.
  • Assisting with developing the full construction schedule with the Project Manager.
  • Obtaining the appropriate licenses from authorities for the construction sites.
  • Determining the necessary equipment, materials, and manpower needed and ensure they are delivered according to the schedule.
  • Ensuring that the site complies to the corporate health and safety program, Ontario health and safety regulations and building codes.
  • Acts as a liaison between trades, sub-trades, project manager customer service, and consultants to ensure construction compliance with drawings and specifications
  • Leads and directs subcontractors (trades) in a way so as not to impede the construction progress.
  • Monitors work performance and productivity of trades to ensure project policies, procedures, and safety requirements are maintained
  • Ensuring that the quality of the project is of the highest standards by conducting quality analysis & quality control during pre-construction and construction phase.
  • Schedules and carries out all required municipal/utility inspections


Qualifications:


  • 7-10+ years of experience managing low-rise residential construction projects
  • Strong working knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and project management from start to finish
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Organized with the ability to prioritize responsibilities effectively
  • Strong leadership skills and professionalism with the ability to multitask within a fast paced and dynamic workplace.
  • Ability to identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution.
  • Capable of anticipating construction issues in moderately complex situations and creating solutions in the construction plan and schedule.
