Sr. Study Manager

Remote Saskatoon, SK

The Role

As a member of the technical services team, you will report to the Director, Development in the Saskatoon office. You will be responsible for leadership and quality execution of Cameco projects during the study stage to ensure company goals and business objectives are achieved.

In this role, you will:

  • Directly manage and oversee the successful execution of complex studies / projects of elevated strategic importance to ensure safety, quality, timeliness and profitability
  • Provide leadership and coaching to Project Managers working on more routine study projects by holding regular reviews of solutioning, timelines, budgets, and resources to identify opportunities, areas of concern, and resolve issues
  • Develop and maintain relationships with subject matter experts and ensure appropriate utilization to bring value and innovation to studies
  • Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with management, operations, team members, and other key stakeholders
  • Ensure that study and project risks are adequately addressed and communicated to the leadership team.

Required:

  • A minimum of 10 years of combined work experience in progressive project management roles in a manufacturing, mining, or industrial setting
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered
  • Ability to think creatively, facilitate solutions, and achieve results
  • Thrive in a in dynamic environment, build trust, and maintain positive relationships with a wide variety of personnel


Recommended:

  • PMP, trade certification, and/or professional engineering designation, or the ability to obtain the relevant certification
  • Experience in executing all stages of the project lifecycle (i.e. initiation, planning and estimating, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, monitoring & controlling, etc.) to deliver brownfield industrial projects
  • Experience working in operations at an industrial facility
  • Experience with modern digital project tools and LEAN methodologies
