Transit Project Manager

Responsibilities


  • Manage a multi-disciplinary project team
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, work plans and schedules
  • Business development - may include directing some construction administration projects where included with our detailed design assignments
  • Communicate with clients, agencies, stakeholders, and the public
  • Prepare correspondence, reports and proposals
  • Work with senior leadership to grow the transit business of Morrison Hershfield


Qualifications


  • Transit or complementary industry experience
  • Experience managing technical integration including safety, security, requirements management and verification and validation
  • Minimum of 4 years proven experience managing multi-disciplinary projects while dealing with clients and top-level management
  • Post-secondary education in engineering
  • P.Eng. or ability to achieve P.Eng
  • PMP designation is an asset
  • Experience of varying project contracting types and sizes
  • Strong business acumen and vision
  • Ability to set goals and manage priorities
  • Professional attitude toward management and interpersonal communication
  • Outstanding communication and documentation skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Demonstrated leadership to motivate and maximize individual performance
  • Understanding of organizations priorities and ability to make trade-off decisions
