The Vice-President, Energy Transition and Asset Management is accountable to the Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy, Technology and Finance Officer for leading the planning of SaskPower’s transition to a more sustainable and renewable energy future as well as ensuring the optimization and performance of SaskPower’s existing generation, transmission, and distribution assets. The Vice-President will act as a member of the SaskPower Executive team and lead a team of directors, managers, engineers, analysts, and specialists in various functions related to planning and asset management.


The ideal candidate brings a successful track record of leadership and excellence in a technical or operational role within the electrical utility and power generation sector, or a similar industry. An inspiring organizational leader, the ideal candidate will bring strong business planning and strategy development abilities paired with extensive knowledge of current industry, economic and social trends in renewables, generation, transmission and/or distribution asset management and supply planning. The ideal candidate is an approachable and energetic leader with the presence, credibility and proven ability to successfully communicate, influence and build relationships across all levels within SaskPower, with customers and other key external stakeholders.
