About the Role:

As the Vice President of Operations, you will be instrumental in shaping processes, fostering team spirit, and achieving remarkable operational and financial outcomes. Your role is pivotal in building a strong foundation for sustainable growth. In essence, you'll be the force behind Building, Delivering, and Scaling our operations.

What you'll do here:

  • Drive operational excellence by surpassing safety, quality, productivity, cost, delivery, and customer satisfaction standards.
  • Define and implement operations strategy, structure, and processes.
  • Monitor performance to proactively identify efficiency issues and propose solutions.
  • Oversee day-to-day company operations.
  • Establish and enforce SOPs, ensuring efficient driver routing, fuel usage, capacity planning, safety, and employee relations.
  • Lead the implementation of new business initiatives and oversee transportation asset management.
  • Maximize IT platform utilization (TMW, ISAAC, Dayforce, TruckRight) to streamline operations.
  • Develop and manage KPIs for performance, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Cultivate a culture of operational excellence through training, mentorship, and on-road observations.
  • Utilize data, analysis, and reporting to continuously improve processes and reduce costs.
  • Manage financial aspects including P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and equipment cost analysis.
  • Strengthen customer and vendor relationships, supporting Business Development and pricing negotiations.
  • Provide regular performance updates to the senior leadership team.

What you bring to the table:

  • 5-7 years’ experience in Senior Operations Management.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience with a track record of implementing process improvements.
  • Multi-team management experience.
  • Budget Management.
  • Safety focused.
  • Proficiency in financial planning, P&L analysis, and margin improvement.
  • Highly skilled in MS Office – Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, & Word.
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations, CTPAT, PIP, Smartway programs.
  • Proficiency with transportation software (TMW, ISAAC, etc.).
  • Demonstrates a proactive approach in driving challenging initiatives and serves as a strong ambassador for the organization's values.
  • Exhibits unwavering resilience and persistence, effectively navigating obstacles to achieve goals.
  • Communicates with both authority and diplomacy, conveying ideas and directives clearly and confidently.
  • Strong business acumen with a broad understanding of fundamental business principles
