You Are:

As the Vice President of Project Finance - you are an experienced professional with a strong background in full cycle project finance. You love the challenge and have the ability to navigate the full cycle of these multi-million dollar projects and appreciate each stage from beginning, middle, to end.

You possess exceptional leadership and diplomatic skills, allowing you to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders. Requirements:

  • A strong background in project finance, including successful experience in raising project capital and managing financial aspects of large-scale projects.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills shown through full cycle navigation of all projects
  • Exceptional financial acumen, with expertise in structuring deals, evaluating capital investments, and driving transaction pricing.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain financial relationships with capital partners, investors, and stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership and collaboration skills to work closely with company leadership and cross-functional teams in optimizing project value.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to provide thought leadership in project finance solicitation processes, as well as identifying new sources of capital and financing structures.
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements related to project finance in the sustainable energy sector, including tax equity, debt financing, and relevant financial instruments.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a drive to achieve targets and meet financial goals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and the ability to navigate complex financial challenges.


If you hold the following, you will be a top candidate (yet not required):

  • You have managed project finance within the natural gas, renewable energy (wind and solar), or hydrogen industry, and have successfully raised project capital.
  • In-depth knowledge of the hydrogen industry (or other renewable industries), its challenges, trends, and opportunities.


Responsibilities:

  • Managing and developing financial relationships: Nurture and develop relationships with capital partners, ensuring effective communication and fostering strong rapport.
  • Marketing and project-level financing: Lead and manage the marketing and structuring of project-level tax equity and debt, optimizing transaction pricing and sourcing capital partners to support Teralta's projects.
  • Collaborating with leadership: Work closely with the CEO and leadership team to optimize and maximize project value, providing financial insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making and ensuring the financeability of projects.
  • Project finance management: Manage the financial aspects of complex project finance within the sustainable energy sector, leveraging your expertise to ensure the successful execution of financial strategies.
  • Raising project capital: Utilize your track record of raising project capital to secure necessary funding for Teralta's hydrogen projects, leveraging your network and industry expertise.
  • Managing technical talent: Oversee and manage technical talent involved in project finance, ensuring effective collaboration and alignment of financial goals with technical requirements.
  • Diplomatic stakeholder engagement: Act as a diplomatic representative for Teralta when engaging with stakeholders, including business partners, utilities, regulators, and other relevant parties.
  • Strategic planning and growth: Contribute to the strategic planning process by providing financial insights and recommendations, helping Teralta achieve its growth objectives and establish itself as a category leader in the hydrogen industry.
