The Role:


ITD is seeking a highly motivated professional to build and lead our sales efforts nationally and internationally. We are looking for a seasoned professional with 10-20 years of sales experience in the transportation, logistics and heavy equipment sales industries capable of driving brand awareness and adoption of our products with the largest fleets in North America, and championing our efforts to help customers shift to cleaner technologies. The ideal candidate will be dynamic and bring world-class sales tactics to a national team of sales managers capable to converting customers and driving revenues across our van, chassis and zero-emissions truck business lines. The successful candidate will be a clear communicator, understand our TAM, market share and customer segments, value proposition building, product placement and channel management. You will have a ready-made network in the intermodal industry (rail, air, sea logistics) and transportation industry. You are skilled at developing and implementing sophisticated B2B sales strategies, driving sales through existing channels while setting up new dealerships across North America, all while enabling a high performing team toward achieving aggressive sales targets.


Responsibilities:


  • Define ITD’s sales and marketing go-to-market strategy in target geographic markets and target customer segments. Develop and implement this strategy for each ITD product line; Develop ITD’s optimal pricing strategy to peel market share away from other industry players.
  • Set annual, monthly and quarterly sales targets in addition to other critical sales KPIs, including general leads in the pipeline, conversion to sales ready leads, conversion to customers, customer repeat sales, customer retention.
  • Drive the adoption and use of our CRM platform;
  • Met or exceed annual, quarterly and annual sales targets;
  • Define and execute ITD’s advertising and marketing strategy, including setting and monitoring spend and performance of online paid advertising, social media advertising, google paid advertising, conference and trade show advertising;
  • Create and drive sales and marketing campaigns, including discount programs, dealer rebate or payment holiday programs leveraging our existing floor-plan financing program.
  • Build, lead and optimally organize a small team of sales professionals responsible for market penetration in key customer segments;
  • Determine sales incentive structure for your sales team
  • Professionally represent ITD at public events, conferences, webinars and other events
  • Develop a network of new dealers for ITD in Canada and the United States, negotiate mutually beneficial dealer agreements, on-board and train new dealers and get them set up for regular commercial relations.
  • Support, nurture and grow our existing dealers by setting monthly and quarterly sales targets, providing the dealers with necessary tools (media and other sales collateral) to increase volumes and exceed dealer sales targets.
  • Work with other teams at ITD to improve to sales attractiveness of our product and the overall customer experience including engineering, purchasing, production planning, production and finance.
  • Fully take on quoting/estimating to enable the rapid quote of sales ready leads using and implementing our new ERP system.
  • Work on new strategic projects with management from time to time as market circumstances dictate.


Qualifications:

  • 10-20 Years of Sales experience in the intermodal, transportation and logistics industries
  • Technical understanding of heavy duty equipment, especially class 8 trucks, dry vans and container chassis
  • Bi-lingual in English and French is an asset
  • Proven experience building and leading a high performing sales team in a B2B setting
  • University Degree or higher level in business administration, finance, sales and marketing, business development
