The VDC Services Manager oversees the operations of the VDC Services business, providing 3D modeling, CAD, laser scanning, reality capture, drone, 360 photo capture, rendering and visualizations, animations, and 4D videos. This role is crucial for delivering high-quality consulting, construction technology and architectural services to our internal construction business, including our self-perform teams, and external clients, including owners, design firms, and subcontractors. The VDC Services Manager ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

You As a Virtual, Design & Construction Manager Will

Oversee the planning, organization, and execution of VDC Services projects.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Utilize expertise in 3D modeling, CAD, laser scanning, reality capture, drone operations, 360 photo capture, BIMFM, asset information modelling, rendering, visualizations, animations, and 4D videos.
Serve as the primary point of contact for external clients, ensuring exceptional customer service. Our clients could be corporate office staff or field focused superintendents, so being able to communicate with different types of stakeholders and providing customer service will be a key.
Manage resources, including equipment, software, and tools, ensuring they are in proper working order.
Represent and run high-profile meetings when necessary.
Manage budgeting and billable hours, ensuring accurate cost and time tracking.
Prepare and review invoices for clients, ensuring timely and accurate billing.

Is this role right for you?

University degree/ Technology Diploma in Engineering, Architecture, M&E, Construction Management or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in VDC, BIM, or related fields, including consulting experience.
Proficiency in industry-standard software and technologies (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, laser scanning equipment and software, drone technology).
Ability to work with minimal supervision and take ownership of tasks and projects, while being able to collaborate effectively with team members and project stakeholders
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects of varying size, simultaneously.
Primarily office-based with occasional active construction site visits.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a related field.
Professional certifications in VDC/BIM technologies considered an asset (Building Transformations, BuildingSMART, etc.)
