Job Purpose

Hydro One is seeking a seasoned professional with extensive experience in managing field operations in the utility industry. This transformational leader will set the strategic vision, commitment and customer-first solution by delivering on the current work program of the Forestry Services Team, all while building capacity, networks and potential for the future growth of Hydro One.

K Ey Accountabilities

Lead the development, establishment, and implementation of the strategy within the Forestry Services Team with an emphasis on safety, cost efficiency, quality and diversity, equity & inclusion.
Develop and oversee the Forestry Services business strategy to achieve planned objectives, measurable through a Board approved scorecard.
Oversee the development, control and spend of the forestry services budget which will contribute to the basis of HONI’s future rate applications.
Portfolio project management with includes demonstrated proficiency in project management, stakeholder engagement and change management programs.
Deep and expansive experience in enterprise-wide project implementation from a financial, operational, legal and regulatory perspective.
Accountable for fostering and maintaining strong internal and external relationships with appropriate stakeholders and liaise with to analyze complex problems, and develop response strategies that enable Hydro One to achieve our desired operational outcomes and strategic plan.
Accountable for the safety performance, financial performance and operational performance of the Forestry Services Team.
Responsible member of the organization’s broader leadership team, accountable to contribute significantly to the overall reputation of Hydro One as a customer centric, future focused organization, a top employer and an exemplary corporate citizen committed to powering the province of Ontario.
Communicate and deliver presentations to the Board, Executive Leadership Team (“ELT”), customers, partners, government, and other associations in support of Hydro One’s strategy.

Selection Criteria

Proven ability making an impact, developing and executing on strategies and delivering superior results both in the short and long term.
Requires proven track record working cross-organizationally and with multiple, disparate stakeholders at varying levels.
Solutions oriented innovator who solves problems leveraging a multitude of inputs and partnerships.
Excellent communication skills (both oral and written); experience creating and presenting complex information in a digestible format to the ELT and Board Committees.
Strong business acumen with experience working in a unionized work environment.
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
Master’s of Business Administration required.
12+ yeas progressive experience in a related field.
